Critical Insight Cards

This outcome derived from a study led by Associate Professor Jennifer Alford about critical literacies with migrant and refugee-background youth in and out of school. The study was funded by the Australian Research Council and supported by QLD Department of Education, Griffith Institute for Educational Research, and Liveworm Studio, Queensland College of Art and Design and resulted in the development of Critical Insight Cards. The critical insight cards provide accessible critical thinking skills to youth learning English as a second language in Australia. These cards are designed to be a practical, inclusive tool that supports the educational growth and confidence of migrant and refugee-background youth.
